Gail Wistow
Drawing and painting are my passions and I love colour as
light and shade. I am inspired by the natural shapes of landscape, still
life and figure and rejoice in edges and negative spaces.
Paint is such an illusionary medium to master, I love the way a stroke
of paint can be that, or a subtle slice of light across a face,
a hillock or an orange.
I challenge myself with tone and colour, learning from nature as I go
and discovering all is abstract but real. The paradox of painting. She
is a
wonderful teacher.
