Naomi Appleton
The majority of my works are based on emotional response
to light and its ability to captivate and alter moods.
While I enjoy working with digital, my real devotion lies in traditional
film photography and darkroom processes. Whether working with the body
or natural environment, I am fascinated with forms in isolation and the
abstract qualities created by light.
Another strong aspect of my imagery is infrared film, a medium that captures
the unseen. The ability to create images with an ethereal quality complements
my natural curiosity of mysterious spaces. Works that invite you to enter
just to find out what lies beyond.
